Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 16, 1920 in Washington, D.C.

The Gamma Gamma Chapter was chartered on the campus of North Carolina Central University on April 29, 1960. Our principles are Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. We have local and national programs such as ZHOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) and Finer Womanhood Week.
Gamma Gamma Chapter has adopted-a-school which is W.G. Pearson Elementary in Durham, NC. Also, we have established a mentoring program with the North Carolina Central University Clements Early College Program called B.L.U.E. (Building Ladies Utilizing Excellence).
We are the only sorority to be constitutionally bound to the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Special shoutout to our brothers of the Gamma Gamma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
